Why must I wear a mask
Is It to hide my face
Or is it to hide who i want to be
but who i want to be is more
then the mask i wear.

I wear a mask to cover all the pain i caused in my life
I wear a mask to the shame of my family
The mask is a sign of whom the real person is
Who iam yet to become
Who iam i to keep hurting the ones i love
so much as i wear this mask

As i wear this mask i see my life flashing before my eyes
So many things i miss because of this mask i wear
So why must i wear a mask because at the end of the day
the person in the mask is not me
