As a child, I'd quietly sit,
Wondering why love would slip.
Listening to songs of hearts detached,
Curious where lost souls matched.
I read of Shams, who disappeared,
Breaking hearts that Rumi revered.
And then it struck—detachment's not pain,
It's love that calls us back again.
Fakirs in love, with prayer in hand,
Return to their tribe, a sacred land.
Each bead, a breath, a quiet stay,
Till love calls them back to their way.
