Why She Stays

it's the strangest thing i feel
sometimes
when i hold his hand
and he holds mine
it's like the sweet sun
blew away
all i loved
just yesterday
it was here but
now it's gone
when we hold hands
it all feels wrong
but if he lets go
i'll have nothing left
so i'll hold his hand tight
but i'll hold regret
because now i realise
i won't love again
not like with him
this is my end
because though his words sting
i finally know
that the worst pain of all
is for him to let go
