Why, Why, Why Is There Not Truth? Look Up, Not Down - Poem by Robert William Schmitz

For WHY?
So here we are
A life so odd and weird
How are we surviving?
People killed,
People dying,
We slaughter our own
For WHY?
Hypocritical bureaucrats
Programs to help
Turn on others who manage themselves
A real life oxy moron
For WHY?
A self indulged purpose?
A never ending circle,
Round robin betrayal,
No morals,
No remorse,
For WHY?
Selfish ingrates
Most people forget
The cars
The brand names
Or whether or not you can sing
The TRUTH is
Whose life are we living?
Yours or theirs?
For few actually care till it’s too late
Your history just 1 line
Birth to death
Lies above your head
Forever written in granite
Forever remember
Broad smiles
Intrinsic eyes
The animals talking
And the tree hugging eccentrics
All of which we’ve betrayed
Don’t get DOWN
Accept forgiveness for yourself
Live for today
Remember yesterday
Your right where you belong now
If you read this far your far on your way
Be the reform
The selfless change in a beautiful disaster
Be the U in unforgettable.
