Simple Moments

You do yours
And I'll do mine
I remember a time
Sitting on my floor
Pretzels are the shape
So calm and peaceful
So in tune with the music
Only silent static fills my ears
Sudden turn
Eyes burn deep
As you look right through me
Uncontrollably it starts at the neck
Needles flow freely through my back
But you don't know
A feeling so free
A flash of satisfaction
Just a simple reaction
Too good to be true
So I'll live for the moment
And forget all sorrows
Because only you
Build dreams into tomorrow.

Turning Point

There comes a point in everyone’s life
That split second where all your outlooks are changed
The way you look at life stops, it’s as if the spin of the world reverses
Going back to the start of this night
It’s appalling that a few simple words can affect your life
Can put the worse thoughts through your brain
There are times when you feel you can control others better than yourself
The times when you’ll do anything to find a bit of peace
That night was warm, very odd for a November night
