Why You Should Not Stereotype A Slum... Poem by RIC BASTASA

Why You Should Not Stereotype A Slum...

went inside a dark
alley
in that poor slum
which
far from what we
thought is not
that gloomy and glum
there are children
there without a home
and with the music from
their empty tin cans
they all sing and dance.
