Wicked Politician Poem by Samuel Julius Kargbo

Wicked Politician

The rain comes in through the open windows
And doors; making not only you wet but all
We who barely eat a decent meal

You look so bizarre; what has taken over you?
You render a stained service
You display a discriminatory democracy
I wonder what goes on in your head

Wicked politician, tomorrow is a market day
Your works shall be tested with fire
I wish to write a different story

But I see greed; now we are in total darkness
Beautiful letters, ugly intentions
Men trying to fatten the pig on the market day
Patriots with pathetic plans

Another horrid postman
A failed state we have when educated man
And women pursue politics for profits

With Habakkuk Kargbo (Rabbi)
