From snowy peaks to ancient wood,
Strange beings lived, misunderstood.
In Norway's lands, where mountains rise,
Nature's own breath, in mystic guise.
The Troll, once giant, fierce and bold,
Now hides from sun, a tale of old.
In rocky dens, they make their home,
A whisper of wild, where few may roam.
The Huldra fair, with eyes so bright,
A forest queen, by moonlit night.
She lures with song, a gentle plea,
But danger lurks, for all to see.
The Nøkken deep, in waters cool,
A siren's call, a watery rule.
And Fossegrimen, music's art,
Demands a price, to touch the heart.
Across the seas, in lands afar,
New creatures rise, beneath a star.
In American wilds, a shadow creeps,
A mystery that the forest keeps.
In Asian depths, a curse may lie,
A monstrous form, beneath the sky.
They speak of fear, of things unseen,
Where wilderness reigns, a primal scene.
But still they dwell, in stories spun,
From lands beneath the moon and sun.
Beliefs that shape, and wonders tell,
Of creatures known, and those that dwell.
