I won't stop liking him
not today
not tomorrow
not until the day he holds her hands
like it's the only thing he's ever needed
Not until I see the way
his eyes settle into hers like home
like all the waiting was worth it
Maybe then
when he finally has what he'a always looked for
what I could never be,
I'll finally let go
Not out of anger
Not out of bitterness
but because I will know
his heart has found it's place And mine has no reason to keep chasing what was never mine
