Will The Adda Return? Poem by Jinnuraine Jaigirdar

Will The Adda Return?

Drifting on waves of laughter,
smiling through stories,
hand in hand—
we walked by the frozen river's edge;
dew rose from the water,
clouds raced beside our bicycles,
our feelings whirled in motion,
thoughts fell like fountains,
our words dissolved
in the scent of earth—
the adda floated away,
bowing to time.

Before it's too late—
Come, let the adda bloom again;
Let joy dance
On the edge of time.
The sky will call from afar,
fields lie calm beneath;
time spreads its wings,
moving in its own quiet rhythm.

And yet I wonder—
will the adda return again?
Or will it fade away,
sinking in the silt of time—
carrying our dream-stones,
drifting with time's own hand,
lost in the current of passing hours—
will the adda return again,
to this earth kissed by the wind of ages?
