Wind Of Agony Poem by Ishwar Chandra

Wind Of Agony

Rating: 4.0

As the farmers bellow in ranches
And the political monkeys laugh on branches,
The wind of agony blows.

As the rain sprinkles acid,
And the jobless man stands placid.
The wind of agony blows.

When a genius gets sick
Of socio-religious tricks,
The wind of agony blows.

When a prophet or a priest
Becomes a curse,
Who once used to nurse,
And divides the society and
turns friends into foes.
The wind of agony blows

A man is eaten by the mob,
And the streets are stained with blood.
I understand all this.
Today, it's him.
Tomorrow, it could be me.
And the day after, it will be you.
And the wind of agony will continue.
