Wind Of The Cherokee Poem by Joseph Blitch

Wind Of The Cherokee

It is said that our ancestors speak in waters flowing;
Be still; listen close; their wisdom you'll be knowing;
Still river waters; unseen swiftly running in the deep;
Incline your ear; Hear their voices; Their sayings keep;

From the river's side; Walk in forest; Meditate within;
The wind comes alive; Whisperings from passed kin;
Ancient elders bring wisdom; Truths from yester year;
Have no fear; Take the words to heart; Hold them dear;

The Great Creator's ability is known by each and all;
The gentle Tsalagi wind whispers His beckoning call;
Return and abide eternally walking in peace with me;
Dohiya; Peacefully walk this plane; you will be free;

Wisdoms words have it that of everything we're a part;
All creation in universe; acquired life from same start;
Water; Wind; Fire; Terracotta; four were given birth;
Stars from Heavens Vault; created gladly fall to earth;

The greatest star illuminated in sky for two years time;
Purposely so far east Wise men the Savior could find;
Prized Cherokee Wind continue on me to gently blow;
Let your wisdom into my spirit and soul ever to flow!
