Whispering Your Name Poem by Joseph Blitch

Whispering Your Name

Rating: 5.0

Deeply within the solitude of my mind,
Like on a deserted island within the sea,
My tangled thoughts hoping to unwind,
Getting spirit, soul and mind to agree.

Stillness in the raging tides unattained,
This empty vessel has washed ashore.
I can hear the wind whisper your name.
Could it be fate knocking at the door?

So old, was I getting a new first mate?
Someone to honor, cherish and adore.
The timing is it right or am I to late?
In madness of mind, I would implore.

The words sounded absurd and funny.
Head spinning as if I had drank wine.
With a beautiful spirit sweet as honey.
Such a beautiful lady, a treasure fine,

We'll accept destiny, come what may.
Together uncharted waters we may sail.
Having faith in each other is our stay.
Love so strong must bond and not fail.
