Wisdom In Spoken Truth Poem by Joseph Blitch

Wisdom In Spoken Truth

Words of wisdom are founded in spoken truth;
Remember the Creator daily during thy youth.
His written word is upright; search for and find;
Let them ever be in your heart and on your mind.
Meditate and commune with Him while you may.
Let not the devil steal this good existence away.
Before your prayers remain trapped here below;
When tears cloud your eyes and continually flow.
Before the years of evil draw nigh and do stay;
When you say, I find no satisfaction in this day.
Before it is all you can shepherd just to sustain;
When hopelessness brings a heart full of pain.
Before your eyesight fails in later life hearken;
When the light of: sun, moon, stars, darkened.
Before mussels weaken and bones become frail;
When true desire to depart this life cease to fail.
Before mourners in the street perform their part;
When unto God the donor the spirit must depart.
Before the dust shall return back into the earth;
Know you have received the right to new birth!
