Sweet like honey, a gentle start,
Then a fishy tang, a sudden dart.
Vinegar bites, a sharp surprise,
And bitter ginger stings my eyes.
It wears me down, this push and pull,
My spirit wilts, my heart feels full
Of shadows deep, a heavy load,
Lost on a lonely, weary road.
I shrink inside, a fading spark,
Just echoes in a silent dark.
The me I was, I can't quite find,
Feeling empty, lost, and left behind.
