Windows Opened To View Poem by Lee Mack

Windows Opened To View

Rating: 5.0

Windows opened to view face to
Face -Life growing new -green
Lighted under crystal silver dew
Stealth fog sticks to keep? My
Heart starves for edible stores
Soul is the clothing that I wear
The iron curtain blocks my stare
My shelves are weighted down
With anthologies of prose in ink
Once set to music made me think
The Constitution and Magna Charter
Rosetta Stones trade and barter
Landed gentry from depths of pits
Vases full of baptismal water cover
Floors with ancients' clutter
Lighthouse sentries wave kerosene
Lanterns guiding spirits deep -the
Flat earth end -the Vulcan lifts
From below to peaks -waterfalls
Begin at crests before the spill -
Down walls of yellow up folds of
Pink -lap fires of thirst shine
Spirit sweet desires before me
Offer to deride that we drink.
