Wine Harvest Poem by Justin Gildow

Wine Harvest

Wine Harvest has come once again
And autumn has set the perfect backdropp for it

Myself and countless others jump at the chance to participate in the grape stomp
We each do what we can
Making wine or something like it
For the Queen and her loyal subjects

Later on
The time will come for the barrel roll and the grape toss
And many will look to find a way to join in those activities
As it pans out
A few are going to end up with a win
A few are going to end up with a loss
But enjoy themselves just the same
Competing in these games

Some walk around sipping wine goblets
Talking to others about their time at Wine Harvest
As for myself
I'll grab a cup of wassail
And breathe in the autumn air
During my time celebrating this day of Wine Harvest
And maybe strike up a conversation with a Wine Mistress
