Wine Titles Poem by Red Brist

Wine Titles

Meerlust turns me back
beautiful Twin Vines
those Luscious Vines of Red Diamond beauty
I tried to force them inside
the Jam Jar in the cellar
but the Wild Child fought screaming
only producing Raw Power
they were the Puppeteer
I the Friday Monkey
the Blue Eyed Boy
in their Witch's Brew
from the Bridgeview of Crane Lake
a Divine Light rests
people say it glows from a Wishing Tree
on the Left Bank
my body desires to go closer
to see
to feel
the mystical presence of its heat
I've overheard
this Divine Light only shines
on the darkest of nights
my soul grieves great
hatred for the darkening sight
this Iron Berry's Golden Eye
possesses me with decaying Poison
I have No Time
before the Midnight Moon shows itself
constantly awakening the horror
of my Werewolf being I wish to refuse
