Winner Poem by Jade Blaydes

Winner

Going for my trophy, knowing I can make it.
Trying to be careful, so that I don't break it.
Looking at it with stars gleaming in my eyes.
Finally paying off, for all of the other tries.
Seeing myself in a brand-new way.
Making it a much brighter day.
But, what do I do now that I've gotten my prize?
Just sit and watch as my compeditor cries?
No! I will stand up and say to all who have lost,
'Honestly, this trophies worth nothing in cost,
It's just the feeling you get when you recieve it.
You're only a loser if you believe it.'
