Winter Poem by Binoy Barman

Winter

Winter gives white sarees to trees
Feverish branches shiver in breeze
Birds in sombre mood
Sing from far-off wood
When caterpillars are about to freeze.

Winter gives mountain a silver cap
Heaps of snow deep in northern map
The sun looks very old
With ray fade and cold
Mystic mist fills up the horizon gap.
