Winter Poem by Jake Gassiot

Winter

Rating: 2.7

I sit on my love sac
I would be lonely
But my girlfriend brings up the slack
I feel so homely

I drink my java
As I watch her sleep
The snow attacks like lava
It is becoming deep

The cat catches my eye
I can’t help but think
I am so happy I could die
And my peace wouldn’t shrink

I take a deep breath of cool air
I turn and see two green eyes
I couldn’t do anything but stare
I felt the temperature suddenly rise

The air I felt now was love
It seemed so right
As if fitting like a glove
Then we said good night
