Winter Rain Poem by Emma Atkinson

Winter Rain

Rating: 5.0

You come to me like winter rain,
Sudden and terribly beautiful,
So stunning it makes my heart seize with pain,
To think, to hope at what your presence will bring,
Like the rain, in this moment, you are everything,
And my heartbeat is as fierce as raindrop,
Yes, even as I feel it stop,
Stopping at the echo of your name,
Which I hear whispered between the cacophony of winter rain,
There and suddenly gone.
