Wise Men Are Not Rare Poem by Mohammad Younus

Wise Men Are Not Rare

Wise men are not rare, lost in abyss,
Nor myths eroded by time's fleeting kiss.
They walk among us, steady and near,
Unseen by hearts clouded with fear.

In truth, they're not hard to discern;
They seek not the fleeting, but fires that burn.
Unmoved by glimmers that fade with night,
They treasure the depth of a soul's true light.

A wise man resists shallow delight,
Unfazed by sparkles that vanish from sight.
He seeks a resonance, visions aligned—
A harmony grounded, with values refined.
Not luxury's gleam or vanity's art,
But truth and substance of a loving heart.

If his gaze seems distant, elusive to meet,
Pause and reflect on the light you exude:
Do you shine with grace, enduring and true,
Or merely with glamor that time will eschew?
He peers past facades, through veneers so thin,
To where kindness blooms and truth begins.
How you treat others speaks louder than name,
Revealing the essence no title can claim.

To him, wisdom flows from divinity's stream—
A living intelligence, free to redeem.
It births the insight that anchors the mind,
A love of knowledge both pure and refined.
Speak not to impress, but with purpose and care;
You'll draw a wise man to treasures so rare.

He's drawn to the calm, the solace of peace,
Where life's many storms briefly cease.
Not chaos, nor drama, nor needless fray,
But grace that endures through life's hardest day.
He honors the courage to rise once more,
And the power to heal, though spirits are sore.

Wise men aren't hard to find at all;
They're drawn to those who answer wisdom's call—
Authentic, balanced, with a radiant heart,
Where truth and knowledge transcend mere art.
For what you seek in him, let it shine through:
The wise will see their reflection in you.
