With You Poem by Casey Gochnour

With You

Lying asleep, pressed against my chest,
Soft breathing and snores heard aloud.
Ever since that one night of true love confessed,
You've made life amazing.

Walking through streets with head held high,
Trees and grass dance with the wind.
The sun is bright, lighting the bright blue sky,
And there's still only one person on my mind.

Oh you make me cry, my love, but not because I fear,
It's not because I'm sad, our love is so sublime.
It's not because you're there, you're always right here,
Right here with me, everywhere I go.

I feel you in my thoughts, I feel you in my heart,
You're in my very being, you live in me.
Since it all began, from the very start,
Everything we needed.

Still I look down at you while you sleep,
Slowly reaching to meet your head with a kiss,
Just crazy thinking about how our love runs so deep…
Oh how you make me cry.

These songs of love I listen to,
Sing of joy and happiness with the one they love.
And you... you are all I can think of,
With every sound, word, it's all of you.

So while you're sleeping against my chest,
I hope you're comfy and getting rest.
I'll always protect you, keep you safe and warm,
Through rainy days, cold nights, and scary storm.

With you, Hannah, everything has been perfect,
Perfection to me, perfection for us, but what did you expect?
I'll do anything at all just to make you stay,
Because with you, I wouldn't have it any other way.
