Staring at the sky and lying on the grass
I think of how you and I could be together
Every time I think of us my heart does a back flip

Knowing you is a very amazing thing
I know you could probably care less about me and my feelings
But I can tell you right now you’ll always hold a special place in my heart

A special place that will forever be just for you
The tightness in my chest when I see you is from the way I feel
My heart does a proverbial back flip when I see you look at me and smile

I guess you just make me smile no matter what
Just thinking of you makes me smile because I’ll always like you
It’s ok that you have a girlfriend I just wish that you were mine to hold
