With You I'M Never Alone Poem by Crystal Johnson

With You I'M Never Alone

Rating: 5.0

If I told you that I loved you,
Would you turn and walk away?
Would you look at me before you?
And turn your head ashamed?

Would you give me a simple smile?
And pull me closer to you.
Would you whisper softly in my ear?
And say, “ I love you too”.

If I asked you if I was pretty,
Would you laugh and roll your eyes?
Would you even say anything?
Or would I be wasting your time?

Would you gently hug me?
Smile and say “no”
“I think that you’re beautiful”
“And I’ll never let you go”

If I asked for you to wait for me
Would you turn around and leave?
Would you say that I’m not worth it?
Would you walk away from me?

Or would you say, “I’ll wait for you”
“No matter how long it takes”
Would you say, “forever”?
As you softly held my face.

If I came to you crying
Would you kiss away my tears?
Would you reassure me by saying,
“I’ll always be right here”?

The times that I am questioning
Are the times I need you the most
So please just stay and hold me
Because with you, I’m never alone
