Withering Away Poem by ERNEST CLARY

Withering Away

Rating: 3.5

Life is more boring
day by day
once I was soaring
now I just lay

Like an eagle in the nest
waiting to hunt prey
living is dying
withering away

breath by breath
time goes by
till we face death
we will die

these wretched bones and skin
slowly age
were just men
on a stage
