Within A Memory Poem by Anh Lynn

Within A Memory

Though I am no longer near, I am not forever lost
Do not give into your fear, and please accept this single cost
I gave my life for you, and I need you to be strong
So live it pure and true, to correct all that is wrong

I know the tears may come,
To leave you feeling cold and numb
But please do not cry, for I will always be right by
Standing next to you, to guide your way through
All the sharpest bends in life
And the trials forever full of strife

Just call my name and see
I shall hold you tight and brighten your light
For wherever I may be, I will shelter you within me
Look far into the skies, and open your heart
Tightly close your eyes, and we shall never be apart

Believe in me, my love, believe and hold on to my gift
Though the winds may shatter and continue to shift
Believe in me, my love, believe and you shall see,
That I forever live within your deepest memory.
