Without You Poem by ANJALI KAKATI

Without You

Without you
Love,
Love is just
Another four letter word
Most used,
Most abused.
Just an emotion,
Of course,
Most confused.

Without you
Love,
Life is perfect.
There is none
Of this endless waiting
For your
Just one glimpse,
Straining ears,
Just for your one
'Hello! '
Nor is there
This constant pain
Gnawing away
The soul.

Without you,
Love,
The ground beneath
Feels like ground again
And the sky
No longer
Within arms reach.
The rainbow too
Is just seven colours,
Distant,
Impotent
To colour my dreams.

Without you
Love
Everything feels real,
Solid, practicle,
Like my hard destiny.
Just that
Without you
Love,
This deep empty hole
refuses to fill.
Keeps getting bigger,
breaking, destroying
what ever was left of me.
A large vaccum,
its emptiness
Filling my heart
My life,
My soul.
