Woman Of God Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Woman Of God

I know a woman who loves God;
I mean she really, really loves God.

I can't say I know her that well -
only since December this past year.
I saw her sing and direct a choir,
and I heard her beautiful voice.

I met this spiritual songbird by chance,
when I visited her church for bible study.
When I heard her testimony it moved me,
moved me deeply, and brought tears to my eyes

When I heard this woman's voice,
I wanted to sing, "Break Every Chain"
the way it's sung by Tasha Cobbs.
I want to support this woman of God.

God has blessed her; He's been good to her.
I want her to keep praising the Lord.
I want her to let go, let God, and be blessed.
