Wonder I'Ll Wander Poem by Justin Zahn

Wonder I'Ll Wander

Rating: 0.5

Wonder I'll wander,
as I walk down this road,
to where it will take me,
where? I don't know.
Its too far to see,
from my angle of view.
So I keep on going;
hoping I'll see it soon.

I chose this path,
cause from what I could see,
It seemed quite nice
for a man like me.
But along the way,
I have seen some trouble,
men on the ground,
dying in rubble.
But I keep on walking
because I must see,
to where this path
is taking me.

Until one day,
I had reached the end,
not what I wanted or
hoped it had been.
It was so dark,
and there was no beauty;
not what I came for,
in this gruesome journey.

Then, it hit me,
as I remembered my flaws,
how I had kept on walking,
alone like a dog.
I watched as others;
died alone.
Instead of helping,
I kept on the road.

Just maybe,
if I had stopped and helped,
I would not be stuck
in this painful hell.
But too late;
for my journey was over,
too old I was
and too much to do over.
