Justin Zahn Poems

Here lies a man with heart so full.
He loved each day he spent with her.
His face was cast with powerful smile
as he awoke to her face, each day in denial.
...

As a beautiful sunrise,
rises over the hill.
Beauty and serenity;
became servants to your will.
...

Who am I? ...
Is there truely an answer? ...

For if I were to tell,
...

Every night in that bar,
between five and six,
a man came in
to have a drink.
...

I stumbled on a face I met today
which beauty over took my growing eyes.
A face so sweet, admired by the day.
For which replied, I smiléd with a sigh.
...

Woke up late
and then looked around.
Stared at the mess
and the clothes on the ground.
...

Wonder I'll wander,
as I walk down this road,
to where it will take me,
where? I don't know.
...

I run through the world,
time drifting like sand,
searching for myself
throughout all the land.
...

I look back now at what I was,
and miss it quite, for now I am lost...
At least with naive,
things were so simple.
...

It took me a while to realize,
what makes me 'me' is simple...I'm terrified.
Terrified of not knowing what will happen next,
to be rejected by all and alone at best.
...

Damn! Damn! Worthless thought.
For now finding it hard to understand
anything...
if anything at all.
...

Hold my head, hold my head.
Watch! For the time spent aching
and shaking,
my head may lose its center
...

Look at this desk in disarray,
clutter like that of the waste land,
but yet we pray;
as the blank page stares back with mocking eyes
...

With closed eyes,
how can one expect to see?
So why do you
close your eyes at what frightens thee?
...

I'm happy...
I usually can't say that
without lying to myself.
It's almost a strange sensation;
...

I had a chance
but I didn't take it,
instead I just walked away.
Just like before,
...

I love you
as the moon loves the sun.
Cause without the sun,
the moon wouldn't shine.
...

Scars and tears;
scars and tears
oh how you have branded me.
Through each contorted piece of flesh,
...

Sometimes its hard to know what to say,
how to act, and what to do,
but as long as you are yourself,
people can't help but love you.

Here Lies A Man

Here lies a man with heart so full.
He loved each day he spent with her.
His face was cast with powerful smile
as he awoke to her face, each day in denial.
'How could a woman full of such beauty,
be with this man without such purity?
Your face could stop the wind from howling,
destract the devil from constant scowling.
Within your eyes; perfect perfection,
More pure than love be your affection.'
With praise he worshiped as a goddess,
till one day he died with such proudness.
No one could see what had caused his pass,
until found poison in his glass.
