Another excellent poem Shaun...this one vividly and articulately describes the writing experience. The last stanza seals it for me...a pristine perfect summing up. I usually begin with reams of utter chaos and then refine things into some semblance of order; using a variety of time honoured poetic techniques. Anyway, It's defiinitely a 10 from me!
Thanks Dominic for your generous comments and I usually begin to write a poem by tearing my own hair out trying to find my scribbled notes. The bigger the poem the bigger the search. And only a few times I find hard to break away from 'The Zone', for ideas and poems are everywhere. Thanks again and take care.
Dominic I always wanted to write a rhymed four versed poem with three words or less in every line. Why? Because I like making a rod for my own back and setting myself a poetry challenge from time to time. Now if I can write a rhymed fairly long poem with just two words in every stanza's lines, that a great challenge and where the real poetry rub lies. Thanks for the comment and take care.
