You want me to say “I love you”
Well, I love you

And you want me to say
“You’re the most important
Person in the world”
Fine,
you are an important part within my world

But if you want me to say
“you complete me”...
Then

I’ll have to say
“I was already completed before I met you”

But within you
I find me
An equal that’s
Been absent
And a confidant
That compliments
a nature unlike my own
Whose sentiments
And instincts
Are the challenges
I adore
Unleashing Inhibitions
In my puritan bones


We are an entwining maelstrom
Of liquid pooling ecstasy
Our is a tableau of webbed liaisons
That court cerebral Fidelity

I shall shower you in frankincense
And the saffron of perfumed Myrrh
But I will never distill sentiments
That bribes you with swindlers liquor


I’m not a romantic
Con artists
Just a tedious
Bookkeeper theologian

And in whose words I can only say

“You could never complete me
Just be the life house to my soul”
