I'm lying here in darkness with my eyes open wide
underneath the covers as if I were trying to hide
Sorting through the thoughts that are racing through my head
listening to the voices speaking words I left unsaid

Wishing you were next to me to hold me nice and tight
giving me the chance to tell you all these things I feel tonight
So many things I wanted to say but didn't know how to begin
And by the time I put one thought together I was alone again

I need you to know I love you from the bottom of my heart
and every fiber of my being longs for you when were apart
when I look into your eyes the future I do see
a future I can't wait to start consisting of you and me

You awaken a desire that I have never felt before
your touch gives me sensations I am longing to explore
your tender kisses send shockwaves from my head to my toes
you have the ability to take me to heights I have never known

I feel as though I've known you for many many years
I know you are my soulmate that in this life has reappeared
I love the way you know me without having to say a word
you pleasure me in ways that others may see as absurd

So tonight I lie in darkness wishing you were here
so I can tell you all these things heartfelt and sincere
I know the next time I see you the words will leave my mind
jumbled all together, scrambled and combined
