Words Of Her Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Words Of Her

Rating: 5.0

You spoke to me as if it was some sort of destiny.
Stern and strong you stated so elegantly,
People with brains such as mine have a duty,
It was as if we were placed to carry some legacy.
An innovation which we carry.

I smile,
Because, words such as yours I haven't heard in a while.

I don't see myself as some sort of person to hold that glory,
It as if you saw some clarity,
I tried my reflection but it seemed blurry.

I know you spotted something,
I alone had a hard time finding.
How do I show myself,
The self of me you see to me?

You spoke so firmly,
You left me flattered,
But with something on my mind that's now regrettably answered.

This time it is so expensive,
My pocket money feels defective.
