World Poem by Dustin MacDougall

World

I can see another door closing
When everyone’s eyes are open
We sit and watch
As it all fades
From grey to black
The nights become darker
While the days shine brighter
And the will of the world begins to crumble
I sit and wonder if I were possible
To see all I have ever loved disappear
On just one day
Just one day and its all gone
Nothing to live on
No reason to give it all
we’re going to do is fall
No matter how hard we try
There’s no way to change this mess of a world into something okay
