The time has come at last to end the show,
The bacillus that Robert Kock had found,
More than a century ago, a germ -
The cause of Tuberculosis in mankind,
Of many organs and many had died.

The fight is on against the AFB!
The rod is turning resistant to drugs;
So many lives were saved and millions cured;
The war is nearing its last stages fast;
The scourge must cease and human beings freed!

Unite to end the Epidemic soon;
Invent more drugs to kill the AFBs;
The germ can't hold the poor countries at stake;
Detect all cases; treat each one in full;
No one must die of Consumption again!

The German Doc had found the cause long back;
Great minds must work in unison and fight;
The bacillus can't threaten mankind long;
The menace must be curbed really soon;
More resistant strains never must be born.

Let Indian scientists meet the challenge fast;
One infection had held mankind captive;
Improve man's immunity in all ways;
The example of nations freed must shine;
The world must be made free of TB germs.
