World War We Poem by James Darwin Smith II

World War We

Take off this armor
Peel off all of the layers
So tired of seeing you wounded
I give you this loyalty in name of compassion

Falsehoods mirrored in illusions
Too many masks wore in the very society of today
Wearing winded throughout this excursion
So weltered unhinged deep inside a typical daze

Rejection, Deception everywhere
Left, right, center, all directions
North, south, east, west
The compass wears a heavy heed
To those that rejoices spreading their own diseases

Let me protect your independence
The metaphorical beast will never linger within your own refuge
Feel the comfort of this beating sanctuary
I will never let any harm come your way

All the pain will come to me
Will feel everything I can
Worry not beautiful one
Take this armor would you please
So you can wear it in case something goes wrong

As I am exposed
I will keep fighting by your side
Bare essential in the honor of beauty
Battling on bloodied, bruised, tattered and torn
Sweating fire in the name of your own safety

I am strong, you are strong
But you have worked yourself way too hard
Surviving all the best that you can
Caring for others over and over again
Never catching any break my beautiful friend

Dream with me
No one can take that away
The heart, soul and mind is stronger than anything
Dig deep within and let me do the rest, Someway, Somehow
Let us poison the poison
Giving freedom to the loving of our own unique ways

Let me be your whatever, Let us fight together for much better days

Let us start world war we!
