World Without Love Poem by Joy Davis

World Without Love

World Without Love

A gurl living on the streets
with no one to love her
only a ratty blanket
to cover her pain and heartache
a small boy living at home
with everything he could ask for
only a drunken father
to bury all hope of true love
an old man walking crookedly
with only a flimsy cane
to hold him up
only he falls to not get back up
on his weak feet
a skinny and sick woman alone
with no medicine or help
only the comfort of sleep
to help her forget the past
a poor soul crying and dying
without someone to be there
only the hope of a new tomorrow

when will jesus come?
his world is dying

This was well written... gave me a sense of despair... I hope that you feel better and can look around and see that there is good in the world as well. ~Jody
