Worried About You Poem by Anna Andio

Worried About You

Rating: 5.0

This feeling is going to be the death of me.
I can’t move, I can’t plea.
My life is within your hands.
As is my future, my plans.
You determine whether I’m soft or hard,
How my life plays its cards.
You’re imagination takes mine a boat,
All the while I try to remain afloat.
As I’ve thought, it’s mind over matter.
I need you, or my heart will shatter.
This anxious feeling of where you are,
Or what you’re doing tears me apart.
When you’re gone I feel lost,
My mind and anger are crossed.
I can’t decide on which is reality,
And which is fantasy.
My temper is short when you’re gone;
From the night until dawn.
Your life is worth two of mine,
And I would pay in kind.
You mean more to me,
Then how much it is to breathe.
If I lost you, nothing would matter.
My soul would die, and my heart would shatter.
So take my hand, take it now;
Seal us together with a simple vow.
Two words it takes,
Until we show what we can make.
We’ll paint the stars together,
We’ll defy “forever.”
All it takes is two words anew;
It starts with an “I, ” and ends with a “do.”
