Worth Poem by Jade Harmony

Worth

I see your fleeting face-
It leaves me without a trace.
Of my flying wings.
Of my heart that sings.

I flee into the black night,
Until my heart is out of sight.
Running toward my hopeless fate-
Foolishly I had taken the bait.

With all my dreams shoved to the ground,
I couldn't even muster a sound-
To call your name.
Even if you don't feel the same.

With a heart empty of love;
How could I possibly think of-
Holding you in my arms.
Protecting you from harm.

You are so beautiful-so pure.
My black wings show for sure,
That I don't even have the grace-
To lay a hand on your pretty face.

So I will love you from far away.
If I CAN love, isn't for me to say.
But one thing is completely true-
I am totally unworthy of you.
