Worth Poem by Aimee Nell

Worth

You fell so hard,
And lay there bleeding,
Refusing the hands reaching
To offer you the help you need.
You stumble on to stand on your own.
Forever needing to prove your worth.
To who?
Your family, your friends?
Or to yourself, the one you're constantly deceiving.
Screaming the lies, again and again.
The beast, the monster, you claim to be.
True, you're not like them.
You're so much more to me.
