Worth Forgetting... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Worth Forgetting...

Was it time well spent
Or time lost by your side?
As low tide came and went,
What happens now that the
Waters risen and I'm barely
Floating above all the confusion,
Where have you been?
My mind is slowly losing it's grip
On your words your laugh
Was it that much of a breeze?
On my cheek a tear cold
Falling, it's not new to me
To miss someone but not
Just anyone can make me
Laugh so sudden inexplicably,
Just at a thought reminiscing;
But it's all coming undone
And I can't keep it together
Forever, because every day
Is a new day apart and I've
Lost strength without you
To give me reason to hold on
Even if I do know better
Than to let these memories
Die by the wayside
Because they are
The only ones
Worth forgetting...
