Would you know,
If you looked at me,
Everything that I can see?
Would you believe it,
If I said,
That I live,
But am still dead?
Would you hear me,
If I screamed
And begged for help?
Could you feel
What I felt?
Would you hold me,
If I couldn’t stand tall?
Would you do
Anything at all?
Or would this be the point,
Of love’s flaw?
Where ‘no matter what’ ended?
Where forever stopped?
I ask because
My heart has been dropped,
Trampled on,
Burned
And broken.
Truer words have never
Been spoken.
Am I walking into a hell?
If I was,
Could I tell?
Would you love me with your heart?
Or would you selfishly,
Tear me apart?
Your affection left days ago,
Now I’m confused on where to go.
Do I walk forward,
And hold your hand?
Or do I turn back,
To no man’s land?
The desire to have you by my side,
Burns at me,
This, my heart will testify.
I opened up my arms to you,
And you walked straight through.
I’m like empty air,
But longing for your care.
I want you to see me,
Really look,
Each time you did,
Part of me you took.
I’m starting to understand,
You won’t take my hand.
You, I can’t save.
Me, the pain enslaves..
