Would You Love Me? Poem by Nicholas Smith

Would You Love Me?

If I gave you everything you wanted would you love me?
Would you even care to hug me?
Because me being a gentlemen does not appease
Shall I unfasten my belt, let my pants hang and disrespect your God given?
Grab you, smack you, or commit infidelity to please?

This isn't my personality I agree but not having your love burns to the degree so much so that
My skin cannot handle such heat it will burn until I am nothing but a crisp
How then could I kiss your lips?

But awake!
Finally realizing you are not worth my love, time, or devotion
Never will I raise my hand on a woman causing commotion
Respectful I'll forever be just because you cannot open your eyes to see
What the beautiful God made me is no fault of mines
Open the blinds and look outside
Birds flying and beautiful skies
Just because you do not understand the nature
Should you question it's creation?
Why become angered when their mind is not your minds destination?

Overlooking my care in search of a thug & and I could care less about your hugs
Don't come running to me when you find him
Phone calls to my phone I'll decline them
Mad cause I peeped game and flipped
Now you tripped girl get out my face
Put you in your place such a disgrace you are
Pick your mouth up from the floor
Don't even think about coming to my door

So will you love me? Nope just miss me
Dread the fact you dissed me
Constantly depressed and stressed
Cause you guilty
Just like so many naive young thangs
Tight skirts and cut up t-shirts but no brain

So say bye bye to the good guy
Hope you have a good life
Maybe one day change your ways become a good wife
