Wow Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Wow

Wow

“Words are lame” said the brain.
After the eyes had complained:
“We see and analyze and forward.
Yet the lousy words…”

Then silence, quite long one; and the eyes:
Except ‘wow’ and the ‘oh’ and the ‘ouch’”

Smile on all lips…eyes and mind…even…

“They explain everything, endless, shoreless.”
Eyes presented an example:

“She, a hand-less, by birth…
Does everything with her feet, legs.
Pours the tea from samovar, paints
And plays ping-pong, weaves carpet
And teaches the hopeless students.”

“Wow”

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I read an article about an Iranian woman who never had hands but had courage and does everything with her feet. Nothings can explain it but 'Wow'.
