when he left
i shed not a tear
i feel the darkness
drawing near

he was my last hope
my one love
now he ripped my heart
and tore it up

i sit here alone
wondering why
what did i see
in that one guy

he's crushed my dreams
flushed my hopes
hurt me so deeply
you must know

i've wrapped myself
covered my soul
what's left at least
the part i hold

i've wrapped it in blue
to suit my feelings
i hope to wake up
and find that i was dreaming
