Writerlust Poem by Hannatu Pqrs

Writerlust

Will I not rest…
that the tap-tap of approaching footsteps
the ring of a doorbell
the babbles of a baby
the melody of a song
the beauty of some words
the mere rustle of dry leaves
the whisper of the wind
the ardent mewing of a cat
the jingle of keys
the chaos in the world
the acrimony of lost persons
the cooing of a bird
the beating of the drum
the tick-tock of a clock
the sorrowful eyes of the needy
the mere voice of life
the beauty of mother nature
the very sound of silence
the very life of me
the persistent voice of my heart…
causeth me to write?
