Writing Anxiety! Writing Anxiety! Poem by Denis Martindale

Ever tried writing on the spot?
You start but then can't write a lot!
You scratch your head impatiently,
Perhaps to seek God's sympathy.
Is it by faith you write some more,
Or did God help your mind explore?
Could you agree God helped at all
And granted you a miracle?
One day, God's poets face the Lord,
That day receiving their reward,
Agreeing how He helped them out
By ending every single doubt.
But until then, some poets pause
And hesitate to share applause,
Yet who on Earth grants such advice
To poets yet not charge a price,
Or ends writing anxiety
For folks like you and folks like me?
